RLSS UK has partnered with the Anaphylaxis Campaign – the only UK-wide charity solely focused on supporting people at risk of severe allergic reactions. This Award in Basic Life Support and Management of Anaphylaxis covers providing First Aid to an unresponsive casualty and recognising a casualty with anaphylaxis. The Anaphylaxis Management course is endorsed by CIMSPA which means that training has been quality assured by CIMSPA and is delivered by a CIMSPA education partner.

About the Course
The regulated Level 2 Award in Basic Life Support and Management of Anaphylaxis has been created with support from Anaphylaxis Campaign.
RLSS UK Qualifications offer both a standalone course and the opportunity to add Anaphylaxis Management to several of our qualification courses. The qualification is Ofqual accredited and valid for two years.
The Basic Life Support and Management of Anaphylaxis course is four hours and is designed to be delivered in one day. The course comprises of practical work and theoretical classroom work, including practical assessment on CPR, AED and use of an adrenaline auto-injector.
Prerequisites
Candidates must be a minimum of 16-years-old at the time of taking the assessment. No prior knowledge is required.

A range of subjects are covered, including:
- Assessing an incident
- Providing first aid to an unresponsive casualty

- Recovery position
- Recognising a casualty with anaphylaxis

Assessment
The course comprises practical work and theoretical classroom work, as well as a practical assessment on CPR and the management of Anaphylaxis.
Renewal
To re-qualify, candidates must complete the training and assessment again.
