About this qualification
The Functional Skills Qualification in English at Entry Level 3 is a nationally recognised course designed to help learners improve their everyday communication skills. Whether you’re applying for work, helping your children with homework, preparing for a college course or managing day to day life in the UK, this course helps you use English with confidence and clarity.
The qualification focuses on practical, real world English. Lessons cover reading, writing and speaking and listening, helping you understand and respond in everyday situations at home, in the community or at work.
It can be taken throughout the year and is assessed under controlled conditions by centre staff, with external moderation by OCR.
